Record transshipment results for the Port of Gdansk

The Port of Gdansk has totalled its transshipments for the first half of 2018 and the half-year result is nearly 20% higher than predicted. Gdansk also achieved the highest growth dynamics among the Baltic ports.

Feasibility study for the development of the Wisla River Waterway

On 2 July, an agreement for the preparation of a feasibility study for the Wisla River Waterway was concluded in Gdansk. It was signed by representatives of the Port of Gdansk Authority: President Lukasz Greinke and Vice-President Macin Osowski, as well as Artur Mazurek, representing the contractor selected by tender, the British company Halcrow Group Limited. The event was also attended by Marek Grobarczyk, the Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation.

The Port Gdanski Eksploatacja company has resolved its crisis. After certain changes were introduced to the company's management board, transshipment volumes have increased and the Port of Gdansk Authority has declared further support in this area.
