The Port of Gdansk Authority participates in a debate on the Silk Road

Representatives of the Port of Gdansk Authority took part in one of the most important international conferences dedicated to the Silk Road idea for the second time already. This year, the 3rd Maritime Silk Road Port International Cooperation Forum, organised cyclically in Ningbo, China, focused on the development of sea and road transport with the participation of Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, and China, among others.

The next stage of implementation of the Three Seas Initiative

PKP CARGO SA and the Port of Gdansk Authority SA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Romanian railway operator CFR Marfa and the Port of Constanta. It is yet another project invigorating economic activities on the route between Northern and Southern Europe.

Record transshipment results for the Port of Gdansk

The 1st half of 2017 was a record one for the Port of Gdansk Authority in terms of transshipments. At the same time, in June 2017, the Gdansk port achieved the highest monthly result in its history, handling over 3.6 million tonnes. Such good results are mostly due to the increase in the transshipment of fuels and general cargo, particularly containers and ro-ro type cargo.

The "Pan Wladek" Foundation wins ministry medal

The "Pan Wladek" Social Assistance for Children Foundation was awarded the "Primus in Agendo" honorary badge of merit for its services to social policy. The distinction is an expression of recognition for people and institutions actively involved in undertakings in the labour market and for society.

More investment projects at the Port of Gdansk

Pursuant to an agreement signed today, works focusing on bank reinforcements of the final section 12f-14 of the Szczecinskie Quay will be carried out this year. This is yet another investment of the Port of Gdansk implemented with the improvement of safety in mind.

Goodman increases warehouse space at its logistics centre

On 21 June, a leading global logistics space developer, the Goodman company, commissioned another warehouse at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre (PLC) at the Port of Gdansk. PLC is the largest logistics centre in Poland in terms of projected warehouse space. At the moment, its Gdansk warehouses have a surface area of 88,000 m2.

The Port of Gdansk Authority at the Polish Days of the Sea in Slovakia

On 13 June, the annual Polish Days of the Sea took place in Bratislava, organised by the Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce. The event brought together representatives of the Polish maritime economy and Slovak business.
