The authority responsible for the ship traffic at the Port of Gdańsk is the Maritime Office in Gdynia.

Notification of calls

An inseparable element of the cooperation between the port and a ship is its notification. It means declaring the will to call at the port at least 24 hours in advance. This applies to both commercial and passenger ships.

Very popular vessels are cruise ships that moor at the Port of Gdańsk in the summer. Huge vessels are an attraction for people interested in maritime topics, as well as for photographers. Cruise ships visit us several dozen times in the holiday season. These ships usually moor at the Obrońców Westerplatte Quay. “Marina”, the longest ship in the record season and operating under the flag of the Marshall Islands, was 239.3 metres long.
