Transport logistic in Munich is one of the world's largest events for the logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management industries. This year's edition is already the 41st time when representatives of different sectors present what they have to offer, discuss, and meet their potential customers. The fair attracts about 2,500 exhibitors from several dozen countries. The Port of Gdansk, the Port of Gdynia, and the Port of Szczecin share a stand, where you can also meet their business partners. Throughout the four days of the fair, the Polish ports present not only their commercial offer, but also their investment projects and development plans. Modern technological solutions play a very important role in Munich. One of the events at Munich's fair was the announcement of cooperation between the Port of Gdansk and the Port of Rotterdam - Poland's largest port will launch the Navigate system for its business partners and customers transporting goods via Gdansk.
Navigate is a shipping service comparison platform for the entire supply chain. In the first phase, it will only cover the transport of containers, and later, it will be expanded to include other types of cargo. Navigate makes it possible to review the most efficient connections, taking into account sea, railway, and barge transport. The program includes a catalogue of companies operating both within the Port of Gdansk and around it. The routes suggested by Navigate include connections between Gdansk and other ports of the world, as well as European inland terminals."The development of this application and its introduction at the Port of Gdansk reflects our ambition to make the Port of Rotterdam the smartest port in the world. Taking a leading role in the digital transformation will make the Port of Rotterdam more efficient, reliable, and competitive. Cooperation in this field with other ports also optimises the potential of digital solutions. The more ports use Navigate, the more valuable the application becomes," explains Allard Castelein, CEO of the Port of Rotterdam.
Navigate is available on the Port of Gdansk's website as a separate section. Now, every visitor to the Port's website may check the most suitable transport connection between Gdansk and other seaports in the world and European inland terminals.
