The computer-aided building and land access control system at the Liquid Fuel Terminal is an example of taking advantage of computer-aided and automated systems in the field of land and buildings security provision, as well as monitoring people and vehicle traffic on the premises of the terminal that is most exposed to all sorts of hazards. This is a uniform system operating within the entire range of the Port of Gdansk. It depends, among others, on close-up cards, video intercoms and TV monitoring.
Computerized event registers at the Liquid Fuel Terminal facilitate the on-going analysis of situation and reproducing past events that occurred on a respective date by means of the archive records. The system is additionally supported by TV monitoring of buildings and facilities and serves as a starting point for further improvements and undertakings in terms of organization and technology aimed at providing digital access protection to the Liquid Fuel Terminal.
